British Standard are
a stompin' 3 piece from Clacton, with Front man and Guitarist Matt Wye, Bassist
Rob Norris and Phil Johnson on Drums. The band got together in late 2006 and
have been gigging right through the year up to date. With Gigs in Colchester,
Clacton, Grays and Chelmsford, they guys are using the release of the EP as a
spring board towards increasing the area they are playing. Tracks on the Album
such as 'Swagger', 'Fake' and 'Scoundrel' are sure to get people to listen
seriously to the band, and with the ability to slow things down with songs like
'Sittin in by Himself' and 'Ballard Song for the Lonely' makes for good
listening.
The EP was recorded in
Purple Studios in Norwich with one live track recorded at The Twist in
Colchester after the bands successful gig supporting CJ and the Satellites.
